Tomorrow`s meeting at Down Royal is in doubt because of frost.

Course manager Mike Todd said today: 'The track is frozen and we couldn`t race today. There will be an inspection at 7am tomorrow and if the track is unraceable at 7.30 we will call the meeting off.

'We would like to run on Saturday with the second stage of the meeting but this depends on the temperature rising.'

Down Royal is scheduled to stage a two-day meeting, the latter part transferred from Punchestown.

Down Royal subsequently decided to bring forward their inspection to 2.00pm today.

Manager Mike Todd said: 'The racecourse is frozen and it looks as though tomorrow`s fixture will be lost for good.

'However, if Saturday`s meeting is also off because of the frost we have made contingency plans to stage it next Wednesday.'
