DUBAI TIGER NAMED IN HONOUR OF WOODS Godolphin today announced they have named one of its most promising two-year-old colts in honour of superstar golfer Tiger Woods following his visit to Al Quoz, Godolphin`s Dubai base. Sheikh Mohammed, Godolphin`s driving force, has named his Storm Cat colt Dubai Tiger in special recognition of the great sportsman. Sheikh Mohammed said: 'This was the perfect opportunity to show the greatest golfer in the world some of the world`s greatest thoroughbreds here in Dubai, including Emirates World Series Champion Fantastic Light and our leading hope for the Dubai World Cup - Best of the Bests. 'Tiger Woods and Godolphin share a passion to be the best and we hope Dubai Tiger will become an equally outstanding equine athlete in the future.' Woods, after touring Godolphin`s training operation, said: 'It is a great honour for me that Sheikh Mohammed has chosen the name Dubai Tiger for one of his racehorses. 'I am so impressed at how sophisticated the whole training facility is here. It has been a really enjoyable afternoon.'
