Da Capo Glory nearing a return to action Padraig Butler saddled a winner for the Red Strand Syndicate at Killarney yesterday when James The Brave landed a nice few bets in the concluding handicap chase on what was his first run over fences. The Timoleague Co Cork trainer later gave an update on stable star Da Capo Glory who carries the colours of the same group of owners. A handicap winner at Cork in early 2024, the Fame And Glory gelding was then third in the Grade 2 Boyne Hurdle at Navan before finishing a creditable seventh in the Coral Cup at the Cheltenham festival. He was last seen in action at the Punchestown festival in May 2024. Butler said of the eight-year-old: "He was out for a year but will hopefully be running in a month. He had a setback but will be running over hurdles in November. "We are looking forward to getting him back on track and he is up in full work since July/August. He is pretty fit and will come back for a handicap hurdle. "He has won four races and could go over fences at some stage, but I just want to keep him sound which is the main thing" Additional reporting by Thomas Weekes
