Jack Davison will certainly need a few prayers answered if Take Me To Church, outsider of the field and available in places at 66/1, is to land tomorrow's Tattersalls Irish 2,000 Guineas but the Dunboyne handler is relishing the prospect of what will be his first runner in a Classic.

Bought at the Goresbridge Breeze Up Sale for 38,000 Euros, the Churchill colt built on successive wins on the Polytrack at Dundalk when impressively landing the Madrid Handicap, won by last year's Irish 2,000 winner Paddington, at Naas in March.

Fourth at Leopardstown last month on his first start in Pattern company, Take Me To Church tackles a mile for the first time at the Curragh and will be partnered by Ronan Whelan.

Davison told Dave Keena: "It's huge for the yard. We don't have a huge amount of horses so to have one competing in an Irish Classic has really given us all a boost.

"The horses are running well and we're enjoying things but it's extra special when you've got a horse running in an Irish Classic.

"We enjoy training each horse as an individual and treating each horse as an individual. We've plenty of turnout (paddocks), we try and keep the horses happy and really focus on the individual and we find that, over the years, that has really helped them to reach their full potential."
