De Bromhead reports Petit to be on the mend Henry de Bromhead reports Petit Mouchoir to be recovering well from the setback that is due to keep him on the sidelines until the early part of 2018. The six-year-old was an impressive winner on his chasing bow at Punchestown last month but it later transpired he had suffered a minor issue with a joint, forcing De Bromhead to rule him out for the immediate future. However, De Bromhead is still targeting the Irish Arkle at Leopardstown's new Champions Weekend in February. He said: "He's good and he's recovering really well. We're definitely on target, hopefully, for the new festival at Leopardstown in early February. That's what we are aiming for."
