Trainer Paul Deegan believes Achnaha could develop into a potential Classic contender ahead of her bid for a first victory in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Salsabil Stakes at Navan on Saturday.

The daughter of Haatef progressed to fill the runner-up spot in the Listed Eyrefield Stakes at Leopardstown on her final start of 2013 and made a pleasing return when third in last month's Park Express Stakes back at the Curragh.

She tackles a mile and a quarter for the first time in the Salsabil and a bold show could earn her a trip abroad.

Deegan said: "She ran a blinder against the older girls last time and we're excited about her stepping up in trip as it should play to her strengths. She's still learning about racing, but we're hopeful of a big run.

"Even though she's still a maiden she has good form in the book and is a very nice filly. She's in the German Oaks later in the season and that could very much be the plan."

Achnaha is one of eight runners declared for the Listed prize.

Aidan O'Brien unsurprisingly has a strong hand, with his son Joseph partnering Dazzling instead of stable companions Dance With Another (Colm O'Donoghue) and Terrific (Seamie Heffernan).

Jim Bolger saddles Ceisteach, a narrow winner at Leopardstown a fortnight ago, while I'm Yours is a fascinating contender for Dermot Weld and Moyglare Stud.

The Ger Lyons-trained Cristal Fashion and Ode To Pysche from Jessica Harrington's yard complete the line-up.
