Paul Deegan plans to step Fast In The Wind up to Listed company following his promising debut success at the Curragh last Sunday.

The son of Footstepsinthesand will now be given the chance to showcase his talents back at the Curragh in the Marble Hill Stakes on May 25, after which a trip to Royal Ascot could be on the cards.

"He was fit enough to do himself justice, but he had a little hold-up two weeks ago so you can never be sure," said Deegan, who is based just a few miles from the Curragh racecourse at Ballysax.

"He was very impressive. Colm (O'Donoghue, jockey) was very taken by him and felt he could easily get another furlong.

"Saying that, we'll be sticking to the Marble Hill for his next race back at the Curragh. Should he do well there, the dream would be alive and Ascot would be the next step.

"He's a proper two-year-old, and we don't even have an older horse in the yard that would lead up with him."
