Dettori Reflects On Irish Champion Stakes Frankie Dettori has hailed Found after her brave run in defeat in the Qipco Irish Champion Stakes on Saturday. The Aidan O'Brien-trained mare prevented the Dettori-ridden Golden Horn ending his career in glory at the Breeders' Cup, yet ever since then she has just found one too good. She has now finished second in the Tattersalls Gold Cup, Coronation Cup, Prince of Wales's Stakes and Yorkshire Oaks, as well as the Irish Champion two years running. Dettori was a 12th hour replacement for Seamie Heffernan after he was unseated from Idaho in the St Leger at Doncaster. "She was great, two out when I looked in front of me I had everything covered but I didn't realise Christophe (Soumillon on Almanzor) was going better than me in behind," Dettori told At The Races. "She ran a super race, pulled clear of the third, but the winner was exceptional. "She gave me a great spin, what a good mare she is."
