Dettori on Ruler Of The World in France Frankie Dettori will attempt to move on from what he described as the disappointment of losing the ride on Treve when he puts Ruler Of The World through his paces in today's Prix Foy at Longchamp. As the retained jockey for owners Al Shaqab Racing, Dettori was expecting to be helping Treve towards the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe with her defence of the Prix Vermeille, but trainer Criquette Head-Maarek requested that she could have Thierry Jarnet back on board instead. This has left Dettori's most likely Arc ride as the Aidan O'Brien-trained Ruler Of The World, who landed last year's Derby but has only appeared once since Al Shaqab acquired an interest in him. That came when only 13th in the Dubai World Cup. "Criquette rang me, and I'd be lying to say I wasn't disappointed," said Dettori. "That was her decision, I'm part of the team, and she's sticking to what she knows best. It was disappointing but there's nothing more to say." Of Ruler Of The World, the Italian said: "He's a Derby winner and I'm looking forward to riding him. "He hasn't run for a while but I'm very excited. I spoke to Joseph O'Brien yesterday, he said the race would bring him to 100 per cent. He's doing his home work well." Asked if Ruler Of The World would be his Arc mount, he said: "Probably but we'll see what happens Sunday."
