Devonshire in 'super form' ahead of Ascot Willie McCreery will be thrilled by the recent heavy rain at Ascot ahead of Devonshire's assault on the Duke of Cambridge Stakes. The Godolphin-owned filly, winner of the Lanwades Stud Stakes at the Curragh in May, is reported in top order for her Royal date on Wednesday. Devonshire's chances have also been bolstered after significant downpours on Friday. McCreery told the Irish Field: "She is in super form and she'll go to Ascot next week for the Duke Of Cambridge. "I also put her in the Kilboy Estate Stakes at the Curragh on Derby weekend, but the plan is to run next week. "She will be well entered up in all those good Group Ones/Twos and we might bring her to America later on in the year. "She loves an ease in the ground and I'd love to win a Group One with her by the end of the year. "There is not much substance to her, but she is all heart. "She runs on any ground, but she is just so much more effective on ground with an ease."
