Gavin Cromwell's horses are flying and he rounded off the Flat season in style when 4/1 joint-favourite (from 9s this morning) Dha Leath recorded a battling success in the 1m2f handicap.

Winning for the fourth time this season, the daughter of Mehmas came from mid-division along with reserve New Hill and it was Gary Carroll's mount who just prevailed at the line by a short head.

“She's game as a pebble, she tries very hard and gets through that ground great. The horses are running well so it's great,” said Cromwell.

“We had two nice winners down below (in Cork) which is great. I felt sorry for My Mate Mozzie (beaten a neck in the November Handicap) as he ran his heart out again and there is a big one in him.”
