Dice lands another Limerick gamble

Moon Dice who landed a gamble when winning his maiden hurdle here in July of last year repeat the feat in the GAA Supporters Day 22nd May Handicap Hurdle for trainer Paul Flynn & jockey Tom Doyle.

Doyle who was recording a quick double (having won aboard Rockshandy in the first) had his mount up front throughout before kicking clear turning for home, scoring by a comfortable seven lengths at the finish from Worldly Wise back in second.

The Three Friers Cross Syndicate (from Glenmore, Co Kilkenny) owned gelding was as big as 10/1 this morning but that price didn’t last long and he went off 9/2 second favourite.

Winning trainer Flynn stated afterwards “He done it well. He was injured before he won last year , but we sorted that now.

He probably prefers running in handicaps as there is a better pace, he jumped great today.”
