Pat Flynn made the lengthy journey from his County Waterford base and he was rewarded at Ballinrobe when the Mark Enright-ridden Dixie Highway justified favouritism in the Leisure Club @ Breaffy Handicap Hurdle.

Flynn had earlier seen his Storm Away finish sixth in race three, and 9/4 shot Dixie Highway had some luck on his side when prevailing by a neck in the 7.30.

Twenty five to one chance Urban Vic was getting the best of the battle when making a mistake at the last.

That opened the door for Dixie Highway, following up on a Clonmel win, and he was all out at the finish to land the spoils.

"It was close and there is another race in him I'd suppose. He is a horse that we couldn't get right all along," acknowledged Flynn.

He added: "His owner (Frank Terry) went to national school with me, he is from our local village of Rathgormack. He lives in New York but is currently touring Alaska with his family. I'll freshen him up now for the Flat."

The Stewards received a report from Turf Club Starter,Mr.J.R.Banahan, that D.E. Mullins, rider of Konig Hall (GB), A. Ring, rider of Eric The Third J.J. O'Neill, rider of Urban Vic, G.N. Fox, rider of Shes A Gangster A.P. Heskin, rider of Keyfield D. Robinson, rider of Lady Of Portlairge D.J. Mullins, rider of Trans City F.J. Hayes, rider of Emerald Honours and Jack Kennedy, rider of Methodology (FR) disobeyed his instructions at the start of this race.

Evidence was heard from the starter and riders concerned. Having viewed the video, heard the audio recording of the start and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that all riders were in breach of Rule 208, in that they failed to comply with the starter's instructions and having considered their records, suspended them for one race day.
