Domination to focus on Flat Domination's days on the National Hunt circuit look to be over - for the time being at least. Trainer Charles Byrnes will resist the urge to campaign the seven-year-old over fences or hurdles this winter after he did not impress in two chase outings during the summer. Domination will instead be put away until next year, when he will resume training with the intention of running in the Ascot Stakes at the Royal meeting, a race he won by two and a half lengths in June. Byrnes said: "He's on a break, and the plan is to get him back in the spring to train him for the race at Royal Ascot again. "We'll keep him on the Flat and won't think about going hurdling or chasing."
