Doncaster called off Doncaster have abandoned their two-day fixture this weekend due to snow and frost. The Yorkshire venue was due to race on Friday and Saturday but clerk of the course David Williams reports the track to still be covered in snow with little chance of the course recovering over the coming days. He said: "We've seen no improvement whatsoever. The temperature dropped to minus 12C yesterday and it was still only minus 4C at 4pm. "We had a slightly milder night in minus 2C but there's not enough of a rise in temperatures forecast over the next two days to see a real thaw. "Even if the snow did thaw, the soil is minus 3C underneath so that would leave us with waterlogging problems. "We really have no choice but to abandon."
