The Kilsaran Handicap Chase saw 7/2 favourite Visioman get up in the final stride (matched at 220 on Betfair before the last) to touch off long-absent stablemate Abbey Magic (5/1).

The latter, who had won three in a row over fences as a novice in 2018 but had been sidelined since October of that year, was holding the challenging Nobody Home on the run to the last as the hard-ridden Visioman moved into third.

Dylan Robinson, who along with winning trainer Henry de Bromhead was recording a double after the short-priced favourite Fusain in the first, got a good response from his mount on the run-in as the leader understandably began to feel the pinch late on, and the French-bred 7-year-old got up by a head to make it three wins from seven starts over fences.

Nobody Home (8/1), on his first start since January, was an honourable third a further two and a half lengths away.

The winning rider Robinson remarked: "We went a good strong pace and I just hit the post at the right time.

“I was creeping away and he finished well, thankfully.

“He didn’t jump great early on. When they were going that bit quicker he just preferred to pop.

"Once I started sending him at fences he started coming up for me and he was enjoying it then. He was full of running going to the line.”
