Down Royal delayed The first race at Down Royal this afternoon has been put back 25 minutes to give the chase course a chance to thaw out fully. Action now begins at 1.30pm with subsequent races on the half hour. The forecast snow failed to materialise at the northern track but some frost still remains on the chase course. "There is a little bit of frost still on the chase course but temperatures are rising and we are just giving it a little bit longer to recover," said racecourse manager Mike Todd.
