Down Royal goes ahead This afternoon's meeting at Down Royal goes ahead after the track passed a morning inspection. The meeting was originally scheduled for St Stephen's Day but was called off due to frost and snow. The course was still partially frozen on Saturday. However, conditions have improved overnight and the meeting is on, with the ground described as soft to heavy. The ground at Leopardstown is now yeilding while at Limerick it is heavy. It will be a sunny day in all areas with the slight risk of a shower.
