Down Royal options for Riches Noel Meade's Galway Plate hero Road To Riches is set to be seen next at Down Royal in November. The seven-year-old put up a terrific performance to win the famous handicap at Ballybrit, being prominent from the off and dominating after leading before the fourth fence. Exciting targets are likely to be in store in the new season for the Gigginstown House Stud-owned gelding, and he has two options in Northern Ireland. Meade said: "We left him out for a month and the plan is to go the north (Down Royal) for either the James Nicholson or the second-season novice race (Grade Two Skymas Chase) on November 1. There aren't a lot of options for him before that as he would have had top-weight in the Kerry National. He's in good form." Meade is set to make plans for the Kerry National nearer to the big Listowel event. The County Meath trainer said: "I have six entered in the Kerry National, including Muirhead, Protaras and Cross Appeal. "There are only 36 entries in total so we'll make up our mind a bit closer to the time." Meade is still without the services of injured stable jockey Paul Carberry, as well as Davy Condon, and enjoyed a winner with Denis O'Regan at Kilbeggan on Friday night. Meade added: "Paul is going to be out for another while and, with Davy (Condon) also out, I'd hope Denis will spend more time in Ireland and be able to ride more for us. " Paul is hoping to be back for Listowel, but his collar bone is just taking a while to heal." O'Regan said: "I still plan to be based in England, but hopefully can come over and back a bit. I'll be in Galway for a few days next week."
