Down Royal postponed to Sunday 27th Following an inspection of the course at Down Royal this evening it has been decided to postpone tomorrow's St. Stephen's Day fixture by 24 hours to allow the track further time to thaw. The track is currently unfit for racing, but the situation is being monitored. The runners and riders declared on Wednesday morning will stand for Sunday's meeting. Following Thursday's cancellations of the Wetherby and Sedgefield meetings scheduled for Saturday Market Rasen today became the third UK racecourse to abandon their Boxing Day fixture.
