Doyle not planning countrywide chase James Doyle does not intend dashing about the length and breadth of the country in pursuit of the jockeys' title despite being hot on the heels of defending champion Silvestre de Sousa. He is currently joint second in the Stobart-sponsored championship on 57 winners with the sidelined Ryan Moore, just three behind de Sousa. With Moore out of action, Doyle is next best in the betting at around 4-1 behind De Sousa, who is long odds-on at 1-6. Doyle has the firepower of the mighty Godolphin team behind him and was kept busier than usual while his teammate William Buick served a 30-day suspension imposed by the French stewards. Doyle admits he will have to work even harder now Buick is back in the fold to ensure the winners keep flowing. "I've made it clear that while I'm very close I've had the power of both Godolphin stables behind me while William Buick was banned," he said. "Now that he is back things will be tougher, but I will keep rolling as many winners as I can. "At the same time I won't be charging around the country trying to chase winners."
