The 7/4 favourite Draco Pulchrac followed up last Friday's breakthrough win at Dundalk when defying an 11lb higher mark in the second split of the 1m4f handicap.

Stepping up from the extended ten furlongs, the Tony Martin-trained daughter of Dragon Pulse came from mid-division to lead inside the final furlong and accounted for Guild by two lengths with Cursory Exam another half a length back in third.

Winning rider Ben Coen said: "The step up in trip suited her. This surface really brings out the best in her.

"I tracked Colin (Keane on Cursory Exam) the whole way round. I had a nice pitch and he brought me into it and to be fair, when I needed my one, she quickened up nicely.

"I was always very happy turning into the straight and I knew I had a bit left.

"She's improving on that surface and hopefully there is another couple in her."
