Dragon Of Malta strikes again at Listowel There was drama in Listowel’s Liam & Joan Healy Memorial Handicap, over a mile and a furlong, in which course specialist Dragon Of Malta (5/1) recorded his fourth Harvest Festival victory. The winner, ridden by Julian Pietropaolo, and Iamimmaculate, partnered by veteran rider and jockey coach Niall McCullagh, were having a great tussle inside the final furlong when the latter, just at the moment his mount received a bump, apparently mistook the 50-yard marker for the winning post and eased down in the final strides. McCullagh's error resulted in a 14-day suspension. A head was the winning margin and the successful nine-year-old, owned by the Gzira Syndicate, will reappear in a seven-furlong contest tomorrow to try and emulate last year’s feat of wins on successive days at the meeting. Winning trainer Pat O'Donnell quipped "The last few times this horse won I was at the sales, but Kia Joorabchian (high-profile international owner) hasn't asked me to go to Tattersalls this time! "What can you say about this horse, but he is older so that gave us a bit of confidence at this trip. We had tried him over 1m2f as a three-year-old and it was quite obvious he didn't stay, but that is a long time ago and the track suits him here. "He didn't break as sharp as he usually does, but I thought Julian did very well to get his position, without burning too much gas. Once he got the position, I watched it with confidence. "He is in again tomorrow and has to come, unless something untoward happens, which I don't expect, so we're looking forward to it." Additional reporting by Tom Weekes
