Indiana Dream was Champion Trainer Willie Mullins' second successful French-import today, as J.P. McManus' gelding landed Fairyhouse's ITM Stallion Trail January 13&14 Maiden Hurdle under Luke Dempsey.

Successful on debut in a French AQPS Bumper at Fontainebleau last February, the five year old today won well on jumps debut, defeating An Mhi by 15 lengths.

Mullins was at Tramore, where his French-import Quais De Paris won the opener, and at Fairyhouse his assistant David Casey said “he’s (Indiana Dream) a lovely looking horse and does everything right at home. He won a French bumper and looking at the size of him I’d say there is plenty of improvement in him.

“There is a winners’ of one race in a few weeks but that will probably come too soon. He’s a grand horse, we like him.”

Paddy Power and Betfair later cut Indiana Dream to 20/1 (from 33/1) for both the Ballymore and Albert Bartlett Hurdles at Cheltenham in March.
