The feature race on the second day of Juddmonte Irish Oaks weekend is the E120,000 Group 2 Romanised Minstrel Stakes with 11 runners declared for Sunday's showpiece.

Among the runners is the recent course and distance winner Vespertilio who steps back up in trip after winning the Jebel Ali Racecourse & Stables Dash Stakes on Irish Derby weekend for Willie McCreery and Al Shira'aa Racing.

McCreery's fellow Curragh-based trainers Johnny Murtagh and Ken Condon are also represented with Chicago Critic and Queen Of Thunder respectively. Condon trained the Irish 2,000 Guineas winner Romanised to win this race in 2019 and 2020.

The race went for export last year as Poet Master scored for Karl Burke and Kevin Ryan sends over the sole British-trained runner this time around as Room Service looks a fascinating runner under Tom Eaves.

California Dreamer will be getting weight from all her rivals as the three-year-old filly looks to go one better than her gallant effort in the Irish 1,000 Guineas earlier this season for trainer Adrian Murray and owners AMO Racing.

"California Dreamer goes into the race in great form," reported Ryan McElligott of AMO Racing.

"She has run some cracking races at the Curagh in the past, including finishing second in the Irish Guineas.

"Any number of her runs at the Curragh would give her a great chance here. We didn't see the best of her at Royal Ascot last time out but we are not sure that she is a filly that travels that well but back at the Curragh we are hoping to see the real California Dreamer. If we do, she has got a great chance."

Additional Stakes and Handicap Races

Prior to watching their colours being carried in the feature race of the afternoon, Al Shira'aa Racing once again sponsor the Group 3 Meadow Court Stakes for which 10 runners will go to post.

This race also went to a British-trained runner and could do so again this weekend as Sir Mark Prescott and Luke Morris combine with the 107-rated Tasmania

Henry de Bromhead will look to enjoy a big race Curragh success with Higher Leaves and has booked Tom Marquand for the daughter of Golden Horn, while Paddy Twomey looks to have two strong candidates in One Look and Beechwood

Ryan Moore is engaged to personally ride the Joseph O'Brien-trained Uluru who will be joined by stable companions Soft Winds and Lemsairbat

Andy Oliver's Our Friend Mouse was a game winner on Irish Derby weekend and tops the weights for the Kwiff Home Of Supercharged Betting Handicap, while the Andrew Slattery-trained My Girl Sioux will bid to complete a hat-trick in the Kwiff Sponsors Supercharge Series Handicap.

Racing on Sunday begins with the Sycamore Lodge Irish EBF Fillies Maiden at 1.20pm and concludes at 5.25pm with the Visit Keadeenhotel.ie Irish EBF Fillies Maiden.
