Dubai Next For Globetrotting Byron Veteran sprinter Gordon Lord Byron is being prepared for a trip to Dubai. The eight-year-old is a seasoned traveller and can boast good performances in Australia, Hong Kong and France. On his only previous trip to Meydan he finished seventh in the Golden Shaheen to Reynaldothewizard in 2013. A Group Two winner as recently as July, his form tailed off in the autumn but trainer Tom Hogan reports the spark to be back. Hogan told The Irish Field: "He worked very well on the Curragh this week and the plan is to send him to Dubai on December 29th."
