Dubawi Camp Happy With Curragh Conditions Connections of Dubawi believe the ground at the Curragh will be more suitable than it was at Newmarket when the colt bids for Classic compensation in the Boylesports Irish 2000 Guineas tomorrow. The son of Dubai Millennium was sent off the 11-8 favourite to maintain his unbeaten record in the UltimatePoker.com 2000 Guineas, but found the ground too fast when only fifth to Footstepsinthesand. 'Dubawi has been working very well. Frankie (Dettori) rode him last weekend in his final piece of work before the Irish 2000 Guineas,' trainer Saeed bin Suroor told www.godolphin.com. 'Softer ground will suit Dubawi much better and I am looking forward to him running in Ireland.' Dubawi won all his three starts as a two-year-old culminating in the National Stakes over seven furlongs at the Curragh in September. Dermot Weld´s Bobs Pride, who was fourth to Fracas in the Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial last time out, is another of the nine runners. 'Bobs Pride is a very good and consistent horse and I´m sure he´ll run a respectable race,' said Weld. The ground at the Curragh was today reported to be good to yielding in the straight and good on the round course. ? PA Sport
