Gordon Elliott and jockey Jack Kennedy are limbering up for the Cheltenham festival and completed Dublin doubles today, combining to win the Leopardstown Members (Mares) Handicap Hurdle with Cute Cherry (12/1).

Successful in the opening race with Ballykeel the pair failed by a half-length with runner-up Hollymount in the second race before Cute Cherry scored by a neck in the third, when out-battling runner-up Indie Belle

Elliott later said “Jack gave her a great ride and is riding out of his skin, which is great heading into Cheltenham.

“The horses are running well, the jockeys are riding out of their skins, including Davy Russell and Jordan (Gainford). They are all riding great so roll on next week!”

He added “it's good for the owners Caren, Aidan and the rest of the syndicate, they are good supporters of the yard.

“I was actually worried about the ground, I thought it would be too good for her, but she battled well and stayed.”
