Duchess Of Kenli swept right on by a tussling Excusio Joe and Save The Sixes to land the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Handicap in Bellewstown for Joseph O'Brien and owner Janine Byrne.

The 6/1 shot came home strongly in the closing stages to score by a length and three quarters from market-drifter Excuzio Joe (28/1).

Julian Pietropaolo said: "It was very straightforward. I jumped good from the gates and I went forward and sat box seat and travelled well going around.

"To be fair, she did hit a small bit of a flatspot turning in, but when the gap seemed to open, she quickened up well and hit the line good.

"We are hoping she can build on this performance. We did think a lot of this filly coming here today, so delighted for her and connections. Big thanks to Joseph.

"She did it very easily, just a matter of waiting for the gaps to come and when they did she showed a nice turn of foot.

"She gave me a great feel going around."
