Dunguib in top form ahead of Punchestown test Dunguib is all set to take on 10 rivals in the Ballymaloe Country Relish Hurdle at Punchestown on Saturday before bidding for Grade One glory later this month. The Weatherbys Champion Bumper winner made an impressive debut over hurdles at Galway and now tackles more experienced opposition such as Jessica Harrington's Fantoche and Enda Bolger's Freneys Well. He is in such good form that his trainer Philip Fenton has declared him to run tomorrow ahead of the Bar One Royal Bond Novice Hurdle at Fairyhouse on November 28, although conditions will be testing at the County Kildare track following heavy rain and an inspection is planned. "We have a deluge of rain up there, but he's ready to run," said Fenton. "He's in great form. If he comes out of Saturday's race well enough the idea is to go for the Royal Bond. "Saturday's race is a nice stepping stone, but if it does fall to the weather he'll go straight for the Royal Bond. It's really exciting." Dunguib is favourite at a general 5-2 for the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. He is even being quoted for the Champion Hurdle at a top-priced 25-1.
