Yesterday's Royal Ascot winning connections jockey Wayne Lordan and trainer David Wachman recorded a winner at Leopardstown today, claiming the opening Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden with well supported 4/5 favourite Sudirman .

Lordan steered Wachman's Duntle to win the Duke Of Cambridge Stakes yesterday and moved Sudirman (15/8 in the morning and heavily backed throughout the afternoon) clear of his rivals inside the final furlong for an easy win over Home School .

Wachman was not present for the win but Lordan later stated “turning in he was 'climbing in the air' a bit but when I gave him a smack behind the saddle he went forward well. He was very green on his first run and learned a lot from his second run. He's one to look forward to for the rest of the year.”
