David Wachman's Duntle is being prepared for a campaign in the second half of the season.

The five-year-old mare won the Duke Of Cambridge Stakes at Royal Ascot last summer, having claimed the Sandringham Handicap at the meeting 12 months previously.

Although she has been placed in the Prix Rothschild and the Sun Chariot Stakes, a Group One win has so far eluded her after she was disqualified when first past the post in the 2012 Matron Stakes at Leopardstown.

Alan Cooper, racing manager for owners Flaxman Stables, said: "She remains in training but she won't be out much before August.

"We hope she can break her Group One duck this season. We're not looking back, we're looking to the future.

"There's no particular race in mind for her comeback. We had hoped she would be out a bit earlier, but circumstances conspired against us.

"As it is, there are plenty of options for the fillies in the second half of the season anyway."
