Dynamic duo to make fast start at Navan Willie McCreery and Billy Lee have formed a formidable partnership over the last few years and the pair team up in the first two races at Navan on Saturday. Evies Wish looks an interesting contender in the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden after an encouraging run on her debut at the Curragh a few weeks ago. The daughter of Holy Roman Emperor was heavily backed then from big prices in the morning and shaped well to finished fourth. She travelled strongly in the five-furlong contest and Lee was the last to pop the question on his mount that day. The benefit of that run looks sure to stand in her in good stead and she may be able to turn the tables on Blitz, who went down by half a length to Mur Hiba when finishing second. Oakledge looks the obvious one to beat in the following Irish Stallions Farms EBF Maiden after a fine run to finish third on his debut at Dundalk. McCreery's charge stayed on strongly then to get within three-quarters of a length of Swish and that form looks solid. The runner-up Red Sabor has gone on to land a nursery off a rating of 80 and judged on that, Oakledge would appear to set a good standard. Dermot Weld's Impart showed improvement to finish fifth on his second start at Cork and he appears the danger. That was a good maiden in Mallow and the form has been boosted recently, with the fourth-placed De Boss Man winning at the Curragh last week. Ex Patriot bids to end a frustrating run of placed efforts in the Follow Navan On Twitter Maiden and looks to have found a nice opportunity to get his head in front for Ger Lyons. The Elusive Pimpernel gelding was turned over at a short price last time at Leoparstown but his previous effort when pushing Twilight Payment at the Curragh was a really good effort. Magnolia Rose has not been seen since a cracking run to finish second on her debut at the course in mid-May. That form has worked out well and she looks an obvious threat if returning in the same sort of form.
