Trainer David Pipe will not be rushing Dynaste back in action, with the grey requiring some specialist help following his disappointing effort in the William Hill King George VI Chase on Boxing Day.

Last year's top novice had been a very respectable second to Cue Card, and in front of Kempton hero Silviniaco Conti, on his reappearance in the Betfair Chase but he rarely threatened and eventually finished last of the five to complete the course.

"We had been optimistic of a big run from Dynaste on the back of his excellent second to Cue Card in the Betfair Chase at Haydock but sadly it was not to be," the Pond House handler told www.davidpipe.com.

"Tom Scudamore was never really happy aboard our son of Martaline and he was one of the first beaten, eventually coming home in fifth place.

"The next morning he was sore behind. He has had treatment from Mary Bromiley (renowned veterinary physiotherapist) and will continue to do so.

"We will wait for him to come right again before looking further ahead."
