EUROPA GOES TO BANGOR Tom Tate sends classy hurdler Europa to Bangor tomorrow as the five-year-old continues his education before eventually having his sights raised. But the Tadcaster trainer admitted he fears the prospect of bottomless ground for the five-year-old`s hat-trick bid in an EBF `National Hunt` Novices` Hurdle. 'He wouldn`t like it but he`s in good form and I want to run him,' Tate said. 'He is still a possible for something like Aintree but he`s very much in the early stages of his career.' Europa made a winning reappearance in a National Hunt Flat race at Warwick in November and earned rave reviews after a 24-length win on his hurdling debut at Doncaster last month. Tate also had news of Aghawadda Gold, who was forced to miss an intended run at Cheltenham last month and will now go straight for the Cheltenham Festival. 'He wasn`t ready in time but he will go straight to Cheltenham for the Mildmay of Flete,' he said.
