Shattered Love (5/2) made it four winners on the day for Gordon Elliott, as she came home an easy winner of the Listed Horse & Jockey Hotel EBF Boreen Belle Mares Novice Hurdle.

With the defection of Along The Shore only four horses set out for this two mile contest, with just two managing to complete the course. Asthuria who was sent off the 4/11 favourite, took a crashing fall at the third last when just leading, while Catcheragain fell at the last when beaten in second.

Shattered Love was right on the heels of the favourite when she came down, and this left the Gigginstown owned victor to come home in her own time. Kalopsia finished second, thirty-seven lengths back under JJ Slevin for Joseph O'Brien.

Jack Kennedy was aboard the winner, and he said afterwards: "She jumped and travelled away and I was still going alright when Paul (Townend, on Asthuria) fell and I'm not sure how it would have worked out.

"She is a nice mare and is progressive and I was happy enough with how I was going (at the third last). She'd stay further."

Gordon Elliott was recording his first winner of the day at Thurles, with his other three wins coming at Navan (Death Duty, Automated and Glenloe .
