Ecclesiastical sold William Hill Mile favourite Ecclesiastical has been sold and will miss Thursday week`s big race. Cheveley Park Stud`s progressive three-year-old was 10-1 co-market leader for the Goodwood event with Ladbrokes, having gone down by just a length and a quarter to Analyser in the Britannia Stakes at Royal Ascot. But a spokeswoman for trainer James Fanshawe said: 'Ecclesiastical has been sold to go abroad and he will not run in the William Hill Mile.' Fanshawe still has Petit Marquis and last year`s winner Persiano engaged in the Stg£100,000 handicap.
