It has been a productive couple of days for Megan Telford-Kelly at Bellewstown as she followed up on yesterday's winner by steering home Edergole's Angel (3/1jf) in the Bluegrass Horse Feeds Handicap over an extended seven-furlongs.

The pair were strongly pressed in the final furlong by Givehertilxmas and Colin Keane but found more over the road to hit the line with half a length in hand over the 5/1 runner-up. Romantic War (25/1) was almost five lengths behind the runner-up in third .

Willie McCreery said: "I was very disappointed with this one the last day in Gowran, I thought she travelled beautifully into the race with Billy (Lee). I thought she didn't go through with it so we asked the owner, Pat Keegan (Chapelrock Ventures Ltd), would it be possible to put Megan on him because at home she really goes for her. He said yes and to work away.

"I'm delighted she won for him, it is his first horse with me. Lovely man and he loves his racing. He was here actually the last day she ran when she was third, but he couldn't get over (today) as he's in Spain. I'm delighted for him.

"It is important because there is a half-sister going to the sales in November."

Edergole's Angel got off the mark at the 15th time of asking.

Telford-Kelly and McCreery also teamed up with Mogwli in Bellewstown yesterday which saw the claimer lose her 10lb claim.
