Egyptband suffers setback Last year`s Prix de l`Arc de Triomphe runner-up Egyptband has suffered an injury which may sideline her until this year`s race, it emerged today. The filly, beaten a length and a half by Sinndar at Longchamp last October, was found to have strained a right front fetlock after finishing only third when odds-on favourite for the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud last Sunday.Trainer Criquette Head-Maarek told the Thoroughbred Times: 'She walked awkwardly after the race and it went worse and worse by the end of the day.'She is staying in her box for a while. We will try to accelerate her recovery with shockwaves but she might not have enough time to race before the Prix de l`Arc de Triomphe.'Had it happened earlier in the season, she would have been sent to stud but it is definitely too late now.'Egyptband won the Prix de Diane (French Oaks) last season and gained her only victory to date this term in last month`s Grand Prix de Chantilly.
