El Bello followed up a win here seven days ago when just getting the nod in a three-way photo to division one of the Bet On The Best Night Out At Dundalk Stadium Handicap.

The almost white son of El Kabeir, who also won twice on the all-weather for Marco Botto early last year, was available at 9/2 overnight and well-supported to go off the 2/1 favourite.

The Philip Byrne-trained gelding made headway between horses over a furlong out and kept on gamely to just outpoint James Henry by a head with Gobo Star only a nose further away in third.

Winning rider Daniel King said, “He likes it up here, he won here last week so it was nice to get another winner for him.

"He's only had three runs since he has come to Ireland, but they are all encouraging and it is nice to get another winner for him.

"He did alright (have all-weather form in Britain to call upon), he likes the all-weather and he was good and tough the whole way to the line."
