Elliott completes Perth double Gordon Elliott was back on the score sheet at Perth today when taking the opening two races with Riverscape and Long Wait. Paul Carberry who was on board Riverscape stayed on well from the final flight to hold off Wind Shuffle to take the Isle Of Skye Whiskey Novices’ Hurdle by a length and quarter. Long Wait ran out an impressive fourteen length winner of the Stanjames.com Handicap Hurdle under a fine ride by Jason Maguire. Maguire hit the front approaching the second last and the pair were soon clear and stayed on for a comfortable win over fellow Irish raider Tarkani. Elliott has saddled a total of five winner’s at the two day meeting and all eyes will be on Esporao in the last to see can he make six.
