Emerald Ring stamps her authority

David Wachman's well-fancied favourite Emerald Ring turned the six furlong maiden at Dundalk into a procession winning by seven lengths at odds of 5/4 under Keagan Latham.

The Johannesburg filly had the form in the book to win this, especially with a second in Group 3 company in June.

Winning trainer Wachman said: "She did it very easily and was entitled to do it on her form. The six furlongs here suited her." Moscow Treat won the race for the minor places with Extra Steps three parts of a length back in third.
