The 2/5 favourite Entropy trained by Joseph O’Brien, was a very easy winner of the four-year-olds and up maiden over the extended ten furlongs.

The Sea The Stars colt, rated 86 after a couple of solid recent efforts in handicaps, tracked the leaders before moving between horses into a challenging position on the home turn. He swept past the front-running Granville Street over a furlong out and went away to beat that rival by eight and a half lengths with Dancila another length and a quarter back in third.

Winning rider Dylan Browne McMonagle said: "He’s a very straightforward horse. He’s been a little bit unlucky to be drawn bad around Leopardstown the last couple of times and was just hitting the crossbar. Today was a nice chance for him to get one on the board and he travelled everywhere for me.

“I went the shortest way around and we went a lovely even gallop. I just waited for the gap to come and he won well.

“He's progressing well and could be a horse for a premier handicap.”
