Euro Maker stays on well in Ballinrobe The Adrian Murray-trained Euro Maker (9/1) stayed on best in the Brodericks Electric Handicap Hurdle for rider Eoghan Finegan, who is in fine form having enjoyed a double at Kilbeggan on Saturday evening. The five-year-old son of Policy Maker was second in Cork in April before finishing ninth in Wexford at the end of May. He led from the fifth hurdle and came clear of his rivals around the bend, and when the onrushing Cool Summer and The Toothpicker finished strongly, Euro Maker picked up again to win by half a length. Speaking after the race, jockey Eoghan Finegan said: "He was badly impeded by a loose horse at Wexford. He'd been off a while since then and Adrian was confident that he'd come forward in the meantime. "He got a bit worked up at the start, but got into a good rhythm with his jumping. "He told me to sit in the first three, but I decided to let him use his jumping down the back and stretch them. He needed the line in the end, but stuck at it well. "I'm having a great run, that's 12 winners for the season. "I had 11 last season which had been my best total, and my agent Garry Cribbin is doing a great job." (Quotes from Mark Nunan)
