Evening Blossom defied topweight with some style when regaining the winning thread in the TXODDS Handicap at Killarney.

The Joseph O’Brien-trained filly headed the front-running Expound just over a furlong out and kept on really well under Dylan Browne McMonagle for a convincing two and a half lengths success. Grey Leader kept on best of the remainder to take the runner-up spot with Expound a further half a length back in third.

Winning owner Brian Dolan said, "She had a tough run the last day in Navan but that was a very hot Listed race so we're delighted she is back on track and Dylan was very complimentary. He got her to the front, and once she does that, she thinks she's a champion and won with a little up her sleeve.

"We'll go back to Joseph and see what the plans are.

"She is the only racehorse I have, although I have retired ones, and the plan with this filly is to hopefully breed off her."
