There is an interesting clash between two progressive novices in the Bluegrass Horse Feed Hurdle, which is the feature on Limerick’s seven-race National Hunt card on Thursday evening.

Gordon Elliott ’s Everybreathyoutake has impressed in two wide-margin victories at Downpatrick and Roscommon, while the much more experienced Stacks Mountain also comes here on a hat-trick and proved himself in handicap company at Punchestown.

Narrow preference is for the latter to continue the good run of Henry De Bromhead and Rachael Blackmore, fresh from their treble at Tipperary last Sunday.

The three-mile handicap hurdle is of interest as well, with Davy Russell bidding to enhance his fine record on Michael Griffin’s veteran Bye Bye O Bye

The former Irish champion jockey made it four wins from six rides on the 12-year-old at Kilbeggan last week, and the pair can avenge a previous course defeat at the hands of Global Racing

Local trainer Eric McNamara is always a man to follow at Greenmount Park, and his Celtic Dancer has been successful in his last two appearances here. Trainer’s son Conor can guide him to victory once again in the Follow Limerick Racecourse On Facebook Handicap Hurdle. Gotthenod has been consistent and progressive this spring for trainer Dot Love /a>, and promises to be suited by a step up in trip in the Mares Rated Novices’ Hurdle. She can get the better of Downpatrick winner Inishbel and course scorer Torquay

Newcomer Janet’s Charm catches the eye in the concluding Fillies bumper, with Patrick Mullins’ mount being a Stowaway half-sister to high-class performer Bellshill. Still Alive will have the assistance of the country’s leading claiming rider, Darragh O’Keeffe, in the two-mile handicap hurdle and can gain a second win over course and distance.
