A drop back to seven furlongs in the Group Deals Available Dundalk Rated Race at Dundalk worked the oracle for Exquisite Acclaim (11/2).

Jamie Powell made all on the six-year-old gelding and they had their rivals in trouble at the business end. Hightimeyouwon the 2/1 favourite, was half a length in arrears at the line, but was a length and a-half in front of Clarita (6/1).

Ado McGuinness said: "Tough!

"Didn't stay the last day (ninth over an extended 10-furlongs) and we know that, but he's tough and he stays at it well.

"I have a young fella works for me, Conan Faulkner, who is sick in hospital and it will give him a boost. He's my travelling head lad. I wish him a speedy recovery and I dedicate this to him. Tom (O'Connor), one of the part owners, is in hospital as well.

"He didn't stay the last day and we made too much use of him, and Jamie gave him a great ride there tonight. He's dangerous over that trip."
