Finally a favourite obliged in the fifth race at Dundalk, but not without a few scares for the punters who took 2/5 about Fact Or Folklore

There was a three-way go in the final furlong of this extended mile and two auction maiden and Billy Lee had to get serious with Fact Or Folklore who got up on the outside to win by a neck.

The 20/1 shot Azamesse nearly provided another upset on the card but had to settle for second, half a length up on Realt Eile

"It was a muddling old race. With the stallion it was a doubt whether she would appreciate that fast surface," trainer Willie McCreery said.

"There wasn't many entries at a quarter to twelve so I stuck her in. I had another race lined up.

"It's still taking a little time for things it dawn with her what it's about and she should improve again.

"I might stick her in a handicap and see what rating she gets. Hopefully towards the end of the year she could get some black-type.

"In a handicap I'd probably go a mile with her as they'd go a good rattle. We won't be going too quick with her as it's a slow-maturing family."
