Factual Fact (15/8jf) travelled best in the Outlook Publications (Q.R.) Handicap over the extended two-miles, but in the end fended off Harry's Legacy by a diminishing half a length. Sequoiaspirit travelled at a sedate pace on the front end and looked vulnerable as Joey Dunne sent Factual Fact after him racing to the final furlong.

Factual Fact nosed into the lead with more than a furlong to go, but he wasn't able to put Sequoiaspirit away as he battled away on the rail.

Dunne went for the whip in the closing stages and his mount increased the margin, but it was Harry's Legacy who came fast and late at 13/2, however, he was half a length in arrears at the line as Sequoiaspirit dropped the same distance away to third at 17/2 from 11s.

Dunne said: "My first ride for Henry (de Bromhead) was at the Fairyhouse Easter festival which didn't go to plan, but thankfully this did. Puppy (Robbie Power, assistant trainer) rang me on Wednesday morning, so I was more than happy to ride the horse.

"I settled my horse just behind the leader and, having previously showing speed over 1m4f, I was able to quicken turning in. He was lairy when I got there, but was always doing enough. He has form on every ground now.

"I had been mainly point-to-pointing recently, but am delighted to be back riding on the track now and hopefully this will open more doors."

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after leaving the stalls involving Factual Fact (FR), ridden by Mr J. Dunne, Wandering Rocks (GB), ridden by Mr A.D. Bustin, and Dark Note (GB), ridden by Ms E.C. Costello, where it appeared Wandering Rocks and Dark Note ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr J. Dunne stated that he felt he was clear and heard no shout. Mr A. D. Bustin stated that he kept his line but received pressure from his outside and had to take back. Ms E. C. Costello stated that she received pressure from her outside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found Mr J. Dunne, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended Mr J. Dunne for two racedays.
