Fairy doesn't want it too fast

Snow Fairy would be unlikely to line up for the Darley Yorkshire Oaks should the ground be too fast at York on August 19th.

Ed Dunlop is training the English and Irish Oaks heroine for the Knavesmire showpiece, but the Newmarket handler insists he would not want to risk the Intikhab filly on going he considered too firm.

"Everything is still on the agenda. We haven't made any decisions yet," said Dunlop.

"The logical next race is the Yorkshire Oaks. We will consider that but if the ground was very firm - no disrespect to York, but it does look quite quick now with the new drainage - there would be doubts.

"She is being trained for that and we will see how we get on."

The Yorkshire Oaks could shape up into one of the best fillies races for some time with last year's dual Oaks winner Sariska and double Nassau Stakes scorer Midday also among a high-quality entry.
